What triggers a correction
We correct a guide when the exact model is wrong, a source was attached to the wrong symptom, a manufacturer revises its instructions, a regional version differs materially, a reset/code meaning is inaccurate, or a safety boundary needs to be narrowed.
How material changes are handled
A material correction should change the affected wording and the reviewed date. If the correction changes the diagnosis itself, related model pages, problem hubs, tools, internal links, and regional alternates should be checked in the same review.
Source conflicts
If two official manufacturer pages disagree, we prefer the most specific current exact-model document and narrow the claim until the discrepancy is resolved. We do not combine conflicting instructions into a synthetic reset.
Minor edits
Spelling, formatting, and clarity edits that do not change the diagnosis do not need to be presented as technical corrections.
