No visible mist

Blueair DreamWell Has No Visible Mist

No visible fog is expected. DreamWell uses evaporative wick humidification, so judge operation by airflow, water use, and room humidity instead of looking for a mist plume.

Pump not working

Blueair DreamWell Pump Is Not Working

Blueair says to separate four states first: an empty tank, Auto Mode standby, a misaligned three-pin pump connector, and mineral buildup in the pump.

Flashing orange water light

Blueair DreamWell Flashing Orange Water Light Is On

The flashing orange indicator is the low-water warning. Refill the tank; it should clear after the water level is restored.

Stops in Auto Mode

Blueair DreamWell Stops Running in Auto Mode

This can be normal. In Auto Mode, DreamWell enters standby when the target humidity is reached and resumes after humidity falls.

Humidity target not reached

Blueair DreamWell Is Not Reaching the Target Humidity

A target that is not reached does not automatically mean the humidifier is defective. Very dry outdoor air, continuous heating/cooling, drafts, and room size can remove moisture as quickly as the unit adds it.

Humidity reading differs

Blueair DreamWell Humidity Reading Does Not Match Another Hygrometer

A modest difference can be normal. Blueair says humidity sensors can vary by about ±5% or more depending on sensor quality and placement.

Wick / filter indicator reset

Blueair DreamWell Wick Filter Light Will Not Reset

After servicing or replacing the wick, turn the unit on and hold the fan-speed button for about 15 seconds until the LEDs blink three times.

Dirty wick / low output

Blueair DreamWell Wick Is Dirty or Output Is Low

Mineral-loaded or poorly maintained wick media can reduce output. Blueair recommends routine cleaning and replacement based on condition and use.

Scale / reduced pump flow

Blueair DreamWell Has Scale or Reduced Pump Flow

Blueair treats mineral scale as a water-flow problem. For pump issues or heavy scale, use the documented stronger citric-acid descaling procedure instead of opening the pump.
