On the V750, the green nightlight on the control knob is an operating indicator. If the switch is on but that light is dark, Vicks says to check the direct 120V outlet and household circuit before doing anything inside the humidifier.
The V750 should produce visible warm steam after about 1–2 minutes. If it does not, Vicks says to check tank water, level placement, mineral deposits on the heater/removable tray, and detergent residue before escalating.
The V750 refill light is tied to an empty tank and a specific reset sequence. Turn the humidifier off, wait 15 minutes, refill the tank, then turn it back on; refilling without the off/wait step may leave the reset state uncleared.
For a V750 reservoir overflow, Vicks narrows the first diagnosis to the water tank and tank cap: the tank may be leaking or the cap may not be tight. Dry the unit first and trace fresh water before assuming an internal housing leak.
Condensation around a V750 usually means the warm-mist output is too high for the room or its existing humidity. Vicks recommends lowering output or opening the room door, and turning the unit off if walls or windows are condensing.
