The VUL575 is ultrasonic, so visible mist is expected. Its exact troubleshooting row narrows weak or missing output to no tank water, an unlevel unit, mineral deposits on the nebulizer, too-low power setting, or detergent residue left after washing.
The VUL575 manual gives only three causes for reservoir overflow: a damaged tank, a Tank Cap that is not tight, or a missing Tank Cap Seal. Complete those three checks before assuming the powered base has failed.
Condensation around a VUL575 is primarily an output-and-placement problem in the manual, not the same diagnosis as reservoir overflow. Vicks says the mist may be too intense for the room or existing humidity, or the humidifier may be too close to a wall or window.
