Classify the sound before calling it a motor or ultrasonic failure
Humidifier sounds can come from normal tank feeding, high fan/mist settings, low water, an uneven surface, excess base water, or a true abnormal electrical/mechanical fault. The sound type and operating state matter more than volume alone.
The sound occurs during tank feeding, first use, or low-water conditions documented by the model.
Do next: Check water level and the exact model’s normal-feed guidance; monitor whether the sound settles after normal operation/refill.
Avoid: Do not assume every bubble sound means a failing pump.
